Mattress Springs

 

Vanadium wire springs, 2.36 inches (60mm) diameter, sewn in individual calico pockets and hand formed into a honeycomb nested unit. Constructed with two layers of springs.

 

Mattress Boarder

 

9.1 inches (23cm) deep with three rows of genuine hand side stitching. Eight horizontal handles on Queen size and above. Air vents on all sides. Borders upholstered in protective wool, finished with piped ticking.

 

Mattress Upholstery

 

Upholstered with 2.0 oz/ft2 (600gsm) softly needled British fleece wool, then 3.1 oz/ft2 (950gsm) hand teased real Shetland fleece wool, overlaid with 2.0 oz/ft2 (600gsm) of British fleece wool. Covered with your choice of fine worsted wool upholstery fabric from the Vispring collection. Hand tufted with hand tied woolen tufts and twine.
