Our expert team are happy to advise you on what is best for you – high traffic areas with benefit from more durable materials; if you’ve got children an easy clean option is sensible; and if you have cats or dogs avoid looped carpets which can snag. We also offer a range of underlays, and again can advise on the best one to suit your needs.

Many people choose carpet because they like the comfort, warmth and the way it feels. Carpet is good for making a room more cosy and insulating your floors. But there are other reasons why people like carpets: dogs can find hard floors slippery to walk on, whereas carpet isn’t (but avoid loop carpets); it is non-slip on stairs; it can be more easily lifted if you need access to underneath (for plumbing or electrical work for example); objects dropped onto carpet are less likely to break than on hard floors; and carpet adds a level of soundproofing.
